I am currently the Managing Director and CEO of Owens, Williams & Wood (OWW) Consulting Pte. Ltd., (Singapore and Kuala Lumpur) which is a new consultancy company specialising in Corporate Responsibility in South East Asia.

 

OWW is currently working with ACCA Malaysia to develop an important and innovative web-based Corporate Responsibility Ratings Tool for companies in Malaysia.

 

I am also an Associate Member of the Centre for Business, Organisations and Society, School of Management, University of Bath, United Kingdom and I was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in 2004.

 

Until recently, I was Associate Professor of Financial Economics at Nottingham University Business School, on secondment to their Malaysia Campus where I was also Director of Research and Director of the PhD programme.

 

I was previously Fellow in Economics at Pembroke College and member of the sub-Faculty of Economics in the University of Oxford. Concurrently I was Director of the European Measurement Project and a Research Fellow at Nottingham University Business School - Malaysia Campus (CEABuR).

 

Before arriving at Oxford I was a Research Fellow at the London Business School (LBS), Centre for Economic Forecasting, where I worked with Brian Henry, Andrew Sentance and Stephen Hall. Whilst there I was also Tutor and University Examiner at the Centre for Financial & Management Studies (CeFiMS) at SOAS in the University of London.

 

I hold a Doctorate in Economics from UEA Norwich (UEA), where I was also a Teaching Fellow and President of the Graduate Students' Association and part of the magnificent team of people who established the GSA Scholarship Fund.

 

Before moving to UEA I was a graduate student at the University of Liverpool, where I was fortunate to be taught by the late Prof. Brian Hillier and Prof. Patrick Minford . I hold a Master of Arts in Macroeconomics as a result.

 

Prior to this I was at Cambridge University where I did my first degree, in Economics, at Girton College.

 

I went to school at Gateacre Community Comprehensive School in Liverpool, where I was Head Boy 1987-88!

 

I was born in Sefton General Hospital in Liverpool on the afternoon of 25th October (Scorpio) 1969 (Rooster).
